Why does Xcode sometimes render something purple and sometimes black?

Example:

scrollView.scrollEnabled = YES; //scrollEnabled appears black
scrollView.pagingEnabled = NO; //pagingEnabled appears purple

Check your font and color settings. Each color denotes a different category of identifier.

The reason they are colored differently is that although they are both objects of a UIScrollView object, the pagingEnabled identifier is also declared as an unsigned bitfield member in the UIScrollView structure. This makes it draw in the colors of the other instances and the colors of the Globals.

What I noticed is that I have a list of strings defining class variables, that the last string in the list is incorrectly color coded.

NSMutableArray *answers;     // purple
NSMutableArray *etymologies; // purple
NSMutableArray *questions;   // black

If I change the order, the last line is always black. (Xcode 4.5.2)
