Where can I find a good collaboration tool?

I am working on a project in which I am using mindmeister.com as a tool to brainstorm new ideas.

Now I need a tool where I can define the roles and what responsibilities they have and associate that with the person / people. It would be nice if I could add due date tasks for each person.

Are there open source sites that have this?

PS.

The tool should be lightweight, not just for programmers.
The main use will be up to .

Update
Ok, after some thinking it looks like I need some kind of project template tool.

I have this project. To be successful, I need to consider tasks A, B, and C. Task A has sub-tasks such as a1, a2, and a3.

Now these are still just descriptions of things that I have to think / answer in order to have a successful project.

When these questions are answered, I can start delegating tasks to members of the project, which can destroy tasks again.

I personally like Trac - it's a lightweight wiki and issue tracking tool.

"Redmine" has many features for collaborating with others on projects.

Plus, using a Redmine client application like "mintRedmine" will help your team get the best out of Redmine features quickly and easily.

GanttProject is good for disrupting project responsibilities to people and setting deadlines.

Collabtive is the best I've used. I think it should cover the features you are asking for. They also offer hosting at reasonable prices.

DotProject is also an alternative, but without good looks ...
