Capture windows, pop-ups and menus
I am developing an app where the screen captures a party app. Right now I have no problem finding all the forms, menus and popups you own in a third party application that I plan on capturing, but I don’t know how to know if the window I am capturing might be a popup menu or a menu or something- something else. Is there any function that sets the handle to the window that tells me what from the window it is?

You can get most of this information from the Windows class.
Once you have the window handle (HWND), you can use GetClassName () to get the class name of the window, then GetClassInfo () to get information about the window class itself.
The window class information has a style that contains most of this class information (ie: the menu should be style # 32768). For more information on window classes, see MSDN .
