XMLSerialization floating point precision

You will need to read this thread to understand what precision means when working with floating point numbers. Whatever happens to them when they are serialized to XML, it doesn't really matter. It will be accurate enough. Use decimal type if you are uncomfortable about this kind of fuzziness. You don't have to be the way they work.

No, you cannot let that happen. Eventually something will get rounded during serialization and your number will be off. Precisely representing a floating point number in binary is difficult at best and sometimes impossible.
