Drawing Drawing + Silverlight Page Layout Application

Question

What would be the ability to create a scaled page / form layout, persist to a database application in silverlight?

Does anyone know where I can find good teaching material on the classes / concepts I need to know?

I think it will be a fun project.

Typically, Silverlight applications are not designed to communicate directly with the database, for which you may need to consider using WPF.
