Div does not disappear with effect in Mozilla

I am using the following to guess a div with a slideffect.

$('div.clsBlue').eq(2).fadeOut(1000, function() {

                   });

This greatly disappears with animations in IE7, but not in mozilla 3. Any suggestions?

I got the same problem: IE 6 worked fine but FFox 3 didn't.

I solved this problem by setting the DIV container



height: auto

Are you running quirksmode? Sometimes, if you don't have a specific doctype, jQuery animations can do funny things.

Check that the DOM element you are fading has detected or recognized by the browser the width and height values.

I was trying to preempt a DIV element with an absolutely anchored inside - which doesn't work. Then I set an explicit width and height for the DIV and set the position: absolute for the DIV instead of the child anchor so that the DIV can be resized. Only then will any jQuery work.
