Can I use Perl CGI :: Sessions data in PHP?
I am using Perl CGI :: Session with MySQL. No problems.
I want to enable some other languages, most notably PHP, to use the same session cookie. How can I do it?
Almost the entire site is in Perl, but I want to use free PHP things like forums and mediawiki and still use the same session cookie.

I have never tried this, but I see the session_set_save_handler function . Some frameworks ( like CakePHP ) use this to store the session in the database. Perhaps you could write code to use the same session as perl by adding this script to your forum, wiki, etc.

If you are using CGI :: Session, you can change the serializer to YAML and then use PHP to parse the YAML.
Alternatively, if you find that YAML parsing is difficult, you can write your own serializer for CGI :: Session, for example. using JSON which you can parse more easily. Instead of using the same session id in PHP as the one you use in Perl.
