Looking for an example of selecting rows (rows) with multiple columns from a grid view and adding them to another grid view?

Here is a situation related to the vb.net website, I have students who will be enrolled in the course. There are many columns in the student grid view such as client_no, hostname, event_date, address, etc.

There are over 100,000 students, so I will need to filter the student grid view to find a suitable student to participate in the course. Once they are found, the user will select them and somehow move them to the grid entered into the network. If a student drops out, they will be removed from the entered grid view.

This process needs to be easy to understand and use. Are there any examples or other suggestions on how to do this?

Why not just add a confirmation hint when you double click this student in the datagridview to register them?



would you hook up the CellDoubleclick event on the datagridview, then the validation check that they are double clicked is not already registered?
