Extending SSIS 2005 Packages with Custom Objects
Am I allowed to worry about extending SSIS packages with custom objects? I agree that custom objects can extend the functionality of SSIS and can reduce repetition and complexity in SSIS. Are there any guidelines for using custom objects? What are the risks, for example. performance, maintainability, etc.? Where do I draw the line?

SSIS can be extended with custom tasks and data flows
I haven't done this myself, but sqlis.org has multiple downloads (and a lot of other stuff). Hope it helps
