Calculate average row count per group in Sql Server Reporting Services

Question

I have a table widget in Reporting Services where I am grouping rows by a specific ID.

For each group, I am showing the number of rows per group using countrows ().

How do I display the average number of rows per group at the end of my report?

What am I missing: how to count the number of groups?

This is from memory - not sure if this expression is correct:

= Count(Fields!ID.Value) / CountDistinct(Fields!ID.Value)

Assuming the "ID" you are grouping is one field, such an expression should get what you want.
