Processing WPF documents?

Does WPF provide a structure for handling documents similar to MFC Document / View?

In my WPF application, I can go and just create File-> New / Open / Save items in the menu and attach them to methods, but I'm wondering if WPF provides anything better to manage.

The main guidelines posted are to use the Model / View / ViewModel pattern.

I would recommend watching this Channel 9 video on MVVM .



The Models and Practices group also published the Composite Applications Guide for WPF and Silverlight , which includes a complete library that can be used. This is quite difficult, however, for many applications.

The most recent version of this guide is the Prism Library .
