CakePHP forest problem

I have a join table that joins the users table and the Communications table. I have a matching relationship built in Cake. When I use it var $scaffold;

in controllers, all connections are improved. I can view, add and edit records in both directions. However, when I remove the function var $scaffold

via the Bake console and let you create a standard index, view, add, edit files, whatever fails.

My impression is that from the cookbook manual, that bake will re-create the index, view, add, edit files in the same way it var $scaffold;

creates them, allowing me to edit them as I see fit. Am I wrong on this assumption?

Is there a way to see the code generated by the scaffold when it renders the view. I know about scaffold patterns, but I must admit that they are still slightly above my knowledge base.

Love the site, by the way.

thanks

Do you bake each MVC component individually? If so, when you bake the controller, it will ask you if you want to include basic CRUD actions (add, edit, view, delete). After that, bake the view and it will ask you if you want to view the CRUD (if I remember correctly, this is no by default).
