UIButton looks great in InterfaceBuilder, but not on iPad sim or device

In InterfaceBuilder, I create the simplest UIButton possible by simply dragging it from the Library panel into my view. After that I get a nice UIButton that looks like this:

When I view in simulator or view on my iPad device, my UIButton has a line below it, for example:

Does anyone else have this problem? Anyone have a fix?

It's by design. iPad UI is different from iPhone anyway.



If you don't want a shadow, create a custom (stretchable) background image.
