A practical guide. JQuery cycle lite plugin (image rotator plugin) manually sets images by ID

Hello I am using the jQuery cycle lite plugin (image rotator plugin) and I want to use the middle example (click triggers), but instead of setting the ids of the previous and next buttons, I would like to manually set the ID of the image.

My goal is to have a list of thumbs at the bottom of the page, and on thumb press, set the big image to the 'slideshow' div.
