How does MEF affect the load time of your application?
I am currently researching MEF to find out about the feasibility of some kind of plugin subsystem for software we write at my company. One of the first questions that came to my mind was knowing the impact of MEF components on application load time.
Also, if it's something of significant weight, can these components be fully loaded at runtime?

I am building an application completely on top of MEF and the load times are pretty good. Yes, you can create objects at runtime; it's called Lazy Imports .
