Free sounds for iPhone games

I'm looking for a good source of sound effects for my iPhone game. I love SoundSnap, but they charge you for every sound you download, not just what you end up using. Sound design in games can be a very iterative process and I don't want to pay for 10 sounds that I never use before finding the right one.

freesound.org is another really good site, but they are all CC licensed and cannot be used in commercial games. It's unclear if the free iPhone app is commercial (or if my final game will be free).

Googling for this brings back a huge number of payment sites with terrible webpages.

I don't mind paying for sounds, but I want to pay for what I use.

Any good personal recommendations?

I personally believe that the best source is whatever you have in your home. I know you were really looking for the site, but I find that creating your own sounds has great benefits:

-You gradually change sounds to get what you want (online, they are fixed)

-Introducing things to your home inspires creative ideas you never thought of

- Faster than searching the web for the correct keyword

-Free

Don't forget, most cinematography professionals use slates, buckets, sand, and random objects to make the perfect sounds they desire.

You might think its not feasible, but with a decent mic they look pretty good. I admit that there are certain sounds that you cannot achieve with just the objects in your home.
