.NET AxWebBrowser cannot open the page Error "Navigation to the web page has been canceled"

Oh, I'm stuck with this silent annoying issue again. I'm trying to do a little auto-browsing using axWebBrowser component and it worked before. Now I am unexpectedly getting the following message when I try to navigate to the page.

Web page navigation has been canceled

What you can try:

Refresh the page.

I disabled my firewall completely, started VS2008 in admin mode, I even installed IE8 all to no avail. BTW IE8 doesn't work either. I don't know if the problem is related, but all I get when I put the URL in IE8 is this message.

Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage

I don't think so much that I really need to get my visual studio axWebBrowser to work.
