How to quickly turn on / off the monitor?

Is there an alternative to UltraMon that allows you to quickly turn the screen on and off.

I am using multiple monitors, but have a piece of software with functions that do not work when dual monitors are on.

Windows Vista, nvidia, using the Windows Control Panel now.

I found that the easiest way to turn on / off an external monitor is to use the native Windows control panel. I have a workstation with two monitors, but one of them doubles as an external monitor for my laptop. When I need it for my laptop, I just turn it off using the control panel (right click on the desktop and select "properties").

You can use any automation software to control your control panel. I like AutoIT myself



BTW. Is this a programming question? If it is then, I advise fixing the software rather than looking for hacky workarounds. Multiple and / or large monitors are becoming quite popular these days.
