Dundas vs ComponentArt which is better

Planning to buy a graphics solution (for ASP.NET), narrowed down to Dundas and componentArt.

Is there a feature comparison list comparing these two components?

Has anyone used both of them and found either one to be better than the others?

I've used ComponentArt on a project before and was impressed with its 3D color settings, dundas look soft in comparison ...

[EDIT]
Want to use it on .net Framework 2.0
Anyone like any comparison sheet for the two is surprised we don't have such a buying guide or comparison reviews available for commercial components.

Binoj,

Have you seen Microsoft Chart Controls ? They are free.

I ended up ditching both of them after some frustrating development and got this: www.simplechart.net/ The support is better, the enterprise licenses are much cheaper and more importantly, it just works without any fuss.

As I worked with Dundas Chart for a Windows application in .NET 2.0, I can tell they have a state of the art when it comes to displaying a chart ... you can do especially everything with a chart. I used to use winforms and ignore the "Dundas Trial version" image of each graph.

They have been on the market for several years and are one of the first options, but license value is very important when simple things are sometimes needed.

For example, for a financial application, I defiantly go to Dundas Charts , but for a simple chart that gives simples results (even with multiple series), I would consider to see the free products out there like Microsoft Chart Control or whatever ...

Both products (Dundas and ComponentArt) have trial versions, try it yourself, take a look at the Forums and see how and how quickly they answer a community question, check the Wiki / Tutorials , this is what you will use the most after choosing a Component, regardless of what it is.

Hope this helps you solve.

Nevron Chart has at least as many features as Dundas Chart and ComponentArt image quality, but much faster. Pricing is fair and suitable for both simple and advanced charts (financial, scientific, etc.) - see Demo - http://chartexamples.nevron.com/ .

I have had a lot of experience with Dundas. They are pretty easy to use, well documented, and have a lot of support. I called and emailed them questions and they are incredibly helpful. Also, the charts look better than others I've seen. I searched and found about 10 controls and Dundas was the best.

The only thing it lacks is 3D charts ... but I think they'll be adding it soon!
