Captcha Algorithm

I noticed that Stack Overflow only intercepts me sometimes. Does anyone know if he has a good algorithm for determining if I can be a robot or if it's just random.

Reducing addiction to captchas is definitely a good thing.

Stackoverflow.com uses reCAPTCHA . And I also noticed that when you try to edit the same question many times in a few seconds, it displays the captcha checkout page.

Most of the CAPTCHA generation algorithms are quite powerful. This article describes the factors that affect the strength of a CAPTCHA.

My impression is that SO is tracking user activity and is a captcha in case of a suspicious beaviour, for example, in the case of frecuent messages or comments.

It appears when you post (or edit) the same post or post in the same question many times. It seemed to me when I edit twice in less than a minute

I never came across Captcha on SO because I used a google account and gave no reason to suspect that I am a bot I think. If you don't create local logins, you can save money on Captcha and saving passwords.

EDIT Now I've seen a few catches on the site, really don't know what is running them.
