Wicket, Spring and Hibernate - testing with Unitils - error: table not found in statement [select relname from pg_class]
I am following a tutorial and an example app, namely: 5 Days of Wicket - Writing Tests: http://www.mysticcoders.com/blog/2009/03/10/5-days-of-wicket-writing-the-tests / p>
I created my own little project with a simple shout out that saves messages to a database. Then I wanted to create a couple of tests that would ensure that if the message was saved to the database, the restored object would contain accurate data.
When running the mvn test, all my tests fail. The exception was inserted in the first square of the code at the bottom. I noticed that although my unitils.properties says it uses hdqldb dialogs, this message is still displayed in the console window when running tests: INFO - Dialect - Dialect Usage: org.hibernate.dialect.PostgreSQLDialect. I have added the entire dump from the console as well as at the bottom of this post (which continues for miles and miles :-)).
When running the mvn test, all my tests fail and the exception is:

While it applicationContext-test.xml
overrides the default datasource to ship the Unitils datasource, applicationContext.xml
it still declares the following property (which is overridden during Maven filtering):

So, if you want to run your HSQLDB database integration tests (it looks like this is configured for Unitils), I understand that you have to use a filter filters-LOCAL.properties
that runs when using the LOCAL profile and declares:
hibernate.dialect=org.hibernate.dialect.HSQLDialect
You can check target/classes/applicationContext.xml
to confirm this, but it seems obvious that you are not getting the above value, but PostgreSQLDialect
.
The odd part is that the pom.xml mysticpaste declares the profile LOCAL
as activeByDefault
(at least the version in the project repository):

It should just work. So the question is:
