ASP.Net AJAX turned it into WSS3 / MOSS Service Pack 1?

There were a lot of promises and hopes, but MS really got around including ASP.Net AJAX in WSS3 SP1 or MOSS SP1? None of the release notes mention this ...

No, ASP.Net AJAX is not included in the Service Pack either.

ASP.Net AJAX was included in .net 3.5.

As far as I remember, it was not included in WSS3 or MOSS SP1.



BTW WSS3 and MOSS SP2 are gone now (and I don't believe it was included in it either.)

It's not that hard to customize, you just need to make some cool additions to your webpages and main pages.

In my experience ASP.NET AJAX should be installed on its own (it was not included in anything I installed). Here is the download link for the installer.

Follow this article to load it into your SharePoint web.config files.
