Sharepoint Blog: Enable / Disable Comments Relative to Posts Field Value

I need to enable / disable comments for comments regarding the value of a new field in a post list. I don't understand how to do this ... Any ideas?

Why is there an error when converting to XSLT? Can a request be triggered?

I don't think you can get this level of control with a standard blog component. However, when using CKSEBE, it is reasonably easy to implement.



The easiest way I can think of on a standard blog is to use jQuery to hide the comment form - that way you only need to get the value of a field that appears somewhere on the page.
