With WPF scrolling the ListView is fast, scrolling up is slow

Question

I have a weird problem with my ListView. This ListView is associated with a data source with thousands of items, so it is quite large.

My problem is that scrolling is very slow ... whereas scrolling down is fine. Any idea why?

Have you tried recycling and deferred validation

    <ListBox VirtualizingStackPanel.VirtulizationMode="Recycling" ...
    <ListBox ScrollView.IsDeferredScrollingEnabled="True" ...
