XML form validation?

Is there a simple form validation that comes from an XML file that controls the generation of HTML, Javascript and PHP will follow the rules as well?

Now, as it is done, I have to break them.

Not that I know. The best I could do is use jQuery's validate plugin and then make general validation rules by doing both this and my server-side validation referencing the same config variables that I pass through the $ _SESSION array.



EDIT: Actually, I seem to remember that the PEAR HTML_QuickForm2 class does a reasonable job, but I rejected it for my own purposes on the basis that the HTML code it generates is not standards-compliant (at least not in XHTML). and it doesn't allow for enough flexibility to distribute layouts.
