How can I customize an ASP.NET MVC application using NUnit unit tests in Visual Web Developer 2010 Express?

I understand that the Express version does not include unit test project templates ... but being a full-fledged newbie to Microsoft dev tools, I cannot figure out how to manually configure the necessary things. So can someone please walk me through how to get NUnit?

It's actually quite simple:

  • Download NUnit.
  • Set up a new Console Application or Class Library in Visual Studio.
  • Add a link to nunit.framework

    .
  • Add a link to the class library you want to test (put the code you want to test into a separate class library)
  • Follow the instructions on how to create your own tests.
