In the Name field at the top left of the Excel screen, type ei and press enter. This will take you to cell ei. The "name field" is a small address field that tells you which cellular address you are at.

If ei is actually the name of a cell, it will take you to that cell. If ei is not a cell name, typing ei in the Name field and pressing Enter will give you the name ei in the cell you are currently in.

You can also use the down arrow for Name Box to see a list of all named ranges and cells in the workbook.

It refers to the cell named ei

. When you paste this formula into Excel, it probably gives you an error #NAME?

meaning there is no named cell ei

. You can either replace each ei in your formula with a cell reference, or go to the cell and name it ei

and put the value here. The named cells are the same, but easier to read, such as the absolute reference form Sheet2!$C$4

.
