Command Button Position - UI Design

What design are you using? What is the size of the button? In what order?

You prefer

  • A = OK
  • B = Cancel

or

  • A = Cancel
  • B = OK

Are you using the "Windows" button size: 80x24 px or your own?

Stick to standard windows.

OK | Cancel | Apply

Use the same size button where possible.

Align them to the right below the content of the window.

Use the user interface in Windows Control Panel (display options / date and time / keyboard) as an example.

Option # 2 is pretty standardized. Always check OK before canceling.

Microsoft recommends 75pix by 23pix for both buttons.

First option.
