Multiple update panels

I am using 1 main update panel

, which contains Search criteria

both a Search button

.

Aside, this main update panel is what I'm using 4 update panels

.

These four refresh panels pull search results from different ones 4 SQL quires

. I have currently done this.

But my question is that currently the page will come out to screen after fetching all 4 refresh panels.

But what I need is: if one panel receives a complete record, one panel appears. then the next panel fed .... Like this.

Please help me.

If I understand you correctly, you want the inner to be UpdatePanels

updated sequentially when the outer is updated UpdatePanel

? If this is correct, then by default all subfolders UpdatePanels

will be updated when the parent UpdatePanel is updated.

It looks like it would be better not to have an external one UpdatePanel

, set the trigger to (internal) UpdatePanel 1

to update when you click on search, set the trigger to UpdatePanel 2

to update when you update UpdatePanel 1

, etc. etc.



Alternatively, you can implement AJAX calls on page or web service methods to populate the content UpdatePanels

and do away with UpdatePanels

Jason I think the problem might be due to the fact that you have nested your "SQL" UpdatePanels in the "Search" bar. You might want to separate them and see how AsyncPostBack triggers fire all four as soon as you enter your search term.

The question is not clear, but you can check the results of the four requests in the selected event of each of the DataSourceControls you use (I assume you do) and if you find an entry in the set displayed in the previous then apply your custom setting.

Question: why use 4 refresh panels when all 5 panels are launched by the same source (search button)?
