You can host Microsoft Office applications inside a control using DSO Framer . You just:
- Add link to dll DSOFramer COM.
- Right Click on Toolbar in Visual Studio -> Select Items -> COM Components -> DSO Gramer Control Object
- Drag the new DSO frame onto your form or parent control
- And call it
framerControl.Open(@"C:\SomeDocument.doc");
- it will work out which Office application to embed.
Alternatively, you can use the Win32 API to embed other control panel programs within your own application.
