Excel 2003 Problems - ADDRESS ()

Finally I thought I had found a way to use excel efficiently in a productive way, but the code I followed doesn't work.

I think the code is very limited and cannot do what I want, but I thought I would ask you to confirm - maybe this is my problem, this is a problem.

I want to calculate the sum of a series of values for the previous month depending on how many days we are in that month (i.e. it is April 20th, so I want to sum the first 20 days of March for comparison with.)

=SUM(G4:ADDRESS(ROW(),7+$BR$3,4))

I basically want SUM (G4: AA4) and used the address function to return a cell reference AA4, taking G4 and adding 20 to the number of columns.

ADDRESS(ROW(),7+$BR$3,4)

This successfully returns AA7 as expected HOWEVER, when I try to use the return value in the SUM () function it throws an error ...

Can't I use this link in my calculations?

Try the function instead OFFSET

:

=SUM(OFFSET(G4,0,0,1,$BR$3))

You can use indirect attention in German, the names are slightly different: = SUMME(INDIREKT("G4:" & ADRESSE(4;8+19;1;4)))
