Xcode 3.1.3 interrupts console output

Had a headache today - first my upgrade to xcode 3.1.3 broke all my certificates / provisions. After two tries I fixed them.

Now, I am dealing with a problem in a thread, with no console output. Absolutely nothing is printed to the console - no startup information, not when I "print" the variable from xcode, when it stops at a breakpoint, not NSLog ().

Nothing.

I restarted my Mac, restarted Xcode, etc. I did this to clear the console and open it when building the project. I had GDB log to file and it works, so the plumbing is chilling. Its just that the console itself is dead.

Doesn't look like I'm on a device or simulator ...

It looks like the dividing panel is attached all the way to the right. Look for a dimple and drag it to the right.

I would also ask to ask in the iPhone developer forum, as you can ask about beta versions there ...

This is an older article, but I recently ran into it with 3.2.3, so if anyone happens, the answer to cdespinosa's question was in place, however many of us "noobs" may not know exactly where to find them. so just in case ...

Go to Finder, find the folder where you have the .xcodeproject file and right click on it and click on show the contents of this package. When a new window appears, move the .perspective, .mode, .pbxuser files to the trash. (Make sure Xcode is closed when you do this ... I did this while the project was open like an idiot and didn't think it was working the first time)

Now run xcode and your project again. The console should now be fixed.
