Can Windows 7 Platform Sensor and Location Platform be accessed from Silverlight?

Can Windows 7 Sensor and Location Platform be accessed from Silverlight? Specifically, I would like to know about location data (GPS) and ambient light sensor.

Edit: I would imagine the way to do this would be from C # in code behind file.

With new features in Silverlight 4, in particular from the browser and com-operator, this is definitely possible.

I still don't know about Silverlight 3.

No. Silverlight is assumed to be cross-platform and the Sensor and Location stuff in Win7 is not available anywhere other than Win7. You can try a tricky mix of Silverlight + .NET, but then it would be silly to use Silverlight when the entire .NET / WPF framework is available.

Silverlight security model is explained here (here) http://blogs.msdn.com/shawnfa/archive/2007/05/09/the-silverlight-security-model.aspx

Win7 Sensor API is native API and from .NET requires P / Invoke call, this is called critical code in Silverlight context (IMO very badly named, but there you have it) and should be in middle layer, so it should be doable, but not portable.
