C # Asp.Net 2.0 - How to check password against active directory password?

I am rewriting an internal application that currently uses its own username and password combination. People forget about it forever or don't change their default password, so I want to use SSO and use our domain.

I am using .Net2.0 and I cannot find any way to do this outside of 3.5.

How do I get the login name of the current user and then check the entered password against the password inside AD?
