Using TeraTerm to Send File, Transfer Rate, Time

I am using TeraTerm to transfer a file over a dial-up connection, for that I will use ttl scripts at both ends to automate it. I would like to determine the time it takes to transfer the file, or the transfer rate ... but I don't know how to do this? Anyone have any ideas? Many thanks

gettime will give you the time, but you need to get the correct time to calculate the bandwidth correctly. You need to get the time on the side that sends the data at the start of the submission. Then gettime on the receiving side at the end of the receive. Send gettime from one side to the other and do the math. Keep in mind that every machine must have a synchronized time. Therefore, everyone should use a time server.

You can probably call gettime before and after and then use those two points to calculate the time used.
