What kind of inline form validation works in an Engine / Django app?

I am writing an application using App Engine and Django. What kind of inline form validation works in an Engine / Django app? For example, how can I check that the user has indeed entered an integer and not a string?

App Engine includes Django 0.96, which includes the 'newforms' form validation library. You can find documentation on this here . There's also an article on the App Engine site that details how to integrate the Django forms library with App Engine models.

Django (since 1.0) has a fairly detailed data validation framework for form fields. He documented here

Django 0.96, which is included in the AppEngine API, uses the oldforms (manipulators) library. The verification was somewhat more complicated. Documentation is available although not readily available.
