.NET Message Queuing using SQL Server as message store

I am looking for an alternative to MSMQ using SQL Server as message persistence as MSMQ as some of the constraints: message size 4Mb, queue size 1.6Go ...

Is there any open source or free project?

Here's a quick article on using a table as a queue. Its a couple of years, but I've used this technique in the past and it works well.
