Checking changes
I am in doubt about using ccnet with a clear case. I just got access to my clear case, I ran into another problem. I have a VOB named Test_proj that contains many folders that do not belong to me. Inside this VOB I made a test folder named "MY_Source" where I put all my source files. So when I ran ccnet I found that checking it for mdifications for all folders which is really unnecessary. I just need my ccnet to check for a change in this folder, which is MY_Source.So there is any other tag I should mention along with the view that just checks for modfication on a specific folder in the VOB than the whole VOB.
2.If he finds any changes, he should also download all source files and start the compilation process. Since this can be configured in ccnet.
Thanks and cheers Maddy
a source to share
Here's an example configuration. the block I'm using for ClearCase:
<sourcecontrol type="clearCase">
<viewPath>Y:\Mobi-Info\Source\Components</viewPath>
<autoGetSource>true</autoGetSource>
<useLabel>false</useLabel>
<branch>main</branch>
</sourcecontrol>
viewPath
specifies the root directory inside your ClearCase view that you want to check for modifications (in my case the Components directory ). Therefore, if you want CCNet to only react to your modifications to the MY_Source directory , point directly to it in viewPath
.
