In addition to this, the odd ball case that I could come up with, maybe if there is a potential that one of the iterations can block. (e.g. dynamic memory allocation)

Note that this case is more "abusing" the lightweight "paralel for" language than the actual numerical reason. (it is easier to use "for" than manually doing it with threads, even if FOR is waiting for all threads to finish)
