How to take a screenshot of the iPhone simulator showing the selected row

I am trying to take a snapshot of an iPhone simulator when a row in a table view is selected before a new view appears. I was unable to find the point at which I can stop the simulator, with the line selected, so that I can take a shot. How to do it?

Thank you for your time.

I assume you have the source code; Just comment out the code that does something, when you temporarily select a row ( - (void) tableview:didSelectRowAtIndexPath:

), click the row, take a screenshot, uncomment the code.

If you don't name [tableview deselectRowAtIndexPath:animated:]

, the row will remain selected while the view is displayed.

It's a long shot, but I noticed that on the iPhone, when you touch but don't release a row, it gets selected, but you don't transition to a new view until you lift your finger. Now on a simulator on Mac (I suppose), if it works the same way, you can set the time on your capture tool to a couple of seconds and then select a line and hold down the mouse button until the timeout takes a snapshot, I was able to make similar stuff on another (not very popular) system, but don't remember now if it works the same on Mac.

Try using OS screen capture tools. For example, open Preview and choose File> Hornbeam> Time Screen, then go back to iPhone Simulator and hold down the mouse button in a row in the Grid View until the screen flashes. If you are more familiar with the command line, try something like:

screencapture -T 2 foo.png & ; open -a 'iPhone Simulator'
