Will all javascript libraries work with Iphone? Aptana question

I am trying to use Aptana to create an IPhone web application. I have never used Aptana. I downloaded iphone support and started a new project. Now I am asking if I want to import a javascript library and list the "big" ones. Will IPhone Safari be able to use these, specifically jquery? I saw that jquery had a special iphone library, so I guess not.

Should I tell him to use jquery (or some other library) or download a custom javascript podcast for iphone manually and try to integrate it into my project?

As far as I know, JQuery should work fine on iPhone. The specific libraries you are talking about should be add-ons to use the iPhone's capabilities only as an option to handle the display orientation event, or perhaps using webkit css animation extensions.

You need to be careful with events though, as most iPhone game-related events behave slightly differently than you might expect. This PPK presentation offers some hints:

Yes, the iphone should run jquery just fine. The javascript support is surprisingly capable. You can look at some of the specific iPhone libraries there though. I forgot their names. iUI

I think?
