IPhone - Blank screen when switching VIews

I have an application that uses expanded views, tab stops, etc. I also use UIImagePicker as well as Route-Me to support mapping. The application usually works fine. However, I find that if I do a lot of things and then switch between views, I get a blank screen and my view is not drawn. I suspect this is memory related, but how can I be sure? Has anyone encountered a similar situation? How did you fix it? What can I find? Thanks for any help you can give!

Steve

You can see that you are probably unloading in the background. If you have access to forums, here is a good thread: https://devforums.apple.com/message/56191

Basically, you need to expect that elsewhere in the application the iphone can unload an inactive view (see the viewDidUnload method). When you switch to this view, it will call viewDidLoad again.

I had this exact problem ... In the method that handles my UIView switch, I checked ([newViewController.view supiew] == nil), which was during idle time! So I went and re-enabled it using [[NewViewController alloc] initWithNibName: @ "NewView" bundle: nil]

Hope this helps!
