Paid video solution

We are planning to create a viewable video solution (PPV), but we do not know where to start. Here are the current values:

  • it will be hosted on Linux
  • using PHP
  • Database: MySQL

And by PPV I mean: - go to the site, select a movie to watch / download - go to the payment portal and pay - now you can watch / download

So here's my question, where do I start? is there an existing (recommended) solution that we can download / buy?

I was just reading about someone who had a platform like this for adult movies that they offered were maybe even open source. I'm sorry I forgot what it was, but even if your content is G rated, software designed for porn probably has its own quirks that you want me to start looking for there. This is a big industry, so you need to have several ready-made solutions.
