Have Geek Brain

Does anyone know if WordPress has built in PHP validation functions?

I am trying to create a form in WordPress and take advantage of all of its built-in functions, but I am having a hard time finding any functions that shape validation. I suppose these features must exist in WordPress, but I couldn't find them because its documentation is sparse and common in some respects. Does anyone have any helpful links to documentation and tutorials?

There are 1001 plugins that support contact form validation, if that's what came after:

I don't believe there are all open validation functions in the WordPress codebase. What are you trying to check? Addresses / letter?

Answering it a year later :) found this question in the search results. Someone can get help from him. Here is an article that checks email from the built-in wordpress feature.
