Error in sql server 2005 setup

what does this error mean when i want to install SQL Server 2005?

None of the selected features can be installed or updated. Tuning cannot continue because there is no effective change to the machine. Click Back to continue, and then select the features to install. Click Cancel to exit SQL Server Setup.

The post is pretty self-descriptive. The setting is not correct that you are making any changes to the machine. Google / MSDN / Microsoft Help is a much better forum for this question than stackoverflow.

He thinks you are updating an already installed system, not a new instance. Check installed programs to see if there is a previous version; if you are making a new instance, make sure you specify it when you walk through the wizard.
