How to avoid separate login when adding WikiMedia links to CakePHP framework?

My team is trying to use the Media Wiki so that users can post more in-depth analysis of scientific research. However, MediaWiki requires a separate login, which is a real problem.

Is there a way to get around the need for a separate entrance to the Media Wiki so that a user who is already registered on our site can go directly to the Media Wiki and post links without going through a separate journal on the screen?

You can add extensions to the MediaWiki authentication system .

I don't know how your CakePHP auth works, the best solution would be to use OpenID for both. You can install an extension to do this for MediaWiki.

See http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:OpenID

Another option is to submit a curl to write them to the wiki when a user successfully logs into your CakePHP application.
