SVN: nested repo

We are working with a PHP application that has no concept for switched themes; the situation is that we are modifying the application to add our own functionality and CSS / Smarty templates for our own look and feel.

There are 2 projects in this app, each with a different layout / presentation. Therefore, I need the repository to store both css / templates and somehow skillfully "merge" into the one needed for the corresponding project. How can I do that?

Either you create two repositories, or you use an external link to "include" another repository, or you just create folders at the base n level of the repository and host projects there.

RepoBase/Project1/trunk/
RepoBase/Project1/tags/
RepoBase/Project1/branches/
RepoBase/Project2/trunk/
RepoBase/Project2/tags/
RepoBase/Project2/branches/

If both projects are highly dependent on each other, you can even opt for this layout:

RepoBase/trunk/project1
RepoBase/trunk/project2
RepoBase/tags/project1
RepoBase/tags/project2
RepoBase/branches/project1
RepoBase/branches/project2

This is how you include external links in the repo:

Short version: There is no such type of nested repository. Google for external svn.
